Factory Building

Factory philosophy

Your factory is the bankroll behind every raid in 2 Player Raid Tycoon. Droppers spawn value, conveyors move it, upgraders multiply it, and floors unlock the next tier of buttons—including weapons and defenses. This guide is about spend order and partner habits, not invented button prices.

If you are brand new, skim Getting Started first, redeem Codes in the Shop, then build here.

The production chain

Always ask: is a full chain online?

  1. Droppers — create the items/ore your tycoon sells
  2. Conveyors — move items without player babysitting
  3. Upgraders — raise value before collection
  4. Collectors / deposit points — actually bank the cash

A lonely dropper with no path is decoration. Buy the missing link before a second dropper. Walk the line after each purchase; jammed conveyors are silent income death.

Floor-by-floor mindset

Factories climb floor by floor. Each floor typically gates better production and new defense/weapon buttons. Rules of thumb:

  • Finish a stable loop on the current floor before obsessing over the next
  • Unlock the next floor when upgrades on the current floor give weak returns
  • Peek upcoming buttons so you know whether the next floor hides a laser, turret, or gun you need

Do not open three floors of half-built junk. Raiders love messy factories with cash and no turrets.

Cash priority ladder

When you are unsure what to buy, use this ladder:

  1. Repair critical defense that is currently broken (How to Defend)
  2. Complete dropper → conveyor → upgrader links
  3. Floor unlock if the current loop is mature
  4. Cheapest defense upgrade that closes a hole
  5. Next weapon on the nine-gun ladder (Weapons)
  6. Guard rolls / higher rarity targets (Guards)
  7. Flex / vanity

Raiding is not on this buy list because raids spend time, not only cash—but your readiness to raid depends on steps 1–5. Use the Raid Checklist before you leave the pad.

Double Cash and other events

Events rotate every few minutes: Air Drops, King of the Hill, Oddball, Double Cash.

  • Double Cash — both partners should be near buttons; pause deep raids
  • Air Drops — rover contests; anchor keeps conveyors alive
  • KotH / Oddball — optional once eco is healthy; mandatory only if you need a spike to afford a floor

Code redemptions land hardest when you dump them into droppers during Double Cash rather than into a premature rocket.

Co-op building roles

From Players:

Builder
Buys buttons, clears jams, tracks floor goals, stays for Double Cash.

Floater
Grabs daily/play-time gifts, peeks enemy factories, contests events, returns with intel.

Swap every major floor so both understand the layout. Silent builders create silent vault deaths when nobody knows where the laser button is.

Funding raids without starving eco

A healthy pattern:

  1. Build until a mid gun unlock is affordable
  2. Take a short raid (How to Raid)
  3. Deposit stolen cash into the next floor or defense layer
  4. Only then chase flamethrower / rocket spikes

If every pouch goes into weapons while conveyors stay level-1, you become a glass cannon with a pitiful vault—easy revenge food after Predator Missile style tools enter the lobby (Predator Missile).

Daily rewards and play-time gifts

These are free factory fuel:

  • Log in for daily rewards even on short sessions
  • Watch play-time gift timers; do not leave 20 seconds early
  • Stack with Shop codes at session start

Free cash still follows the priority ladder. A gift spent on a random guard while the conveyor is broken is a misclick.

Quality-of-life checks every few minutes

  • Are items moving end-to-end?
  • Is the vault path walled enough for a 30-second absence?
  • Is one partner assigned as anchor if the other hits Oddball?
  • Do we know the next planned purchase out loud?

Speaking the next purchase prevents double-buying the same button and arguing mid-raid.

Common factory mistakes

  • Opening floors for vibes before upgraders exist
  • Ignoring jams because “we’re rich from raids”
  • Both partners leaving during Double Cash
  • Buying late weapons with code cash before walls
  • No repair fund after a successful defense break

Sample first-hour build arc

  1. Redeem codes; claim roles
  2. First dropper + conveyor + upgrader online
  3. Light wall + laser/turret
  4. Second production bump or floor unlock
  5. Mid gun target banked
  6. Short raid → deposit into floor/defense
  7. Guard online on the main door
  8. Reassess with Tools Hub priorities

Build boring, raid exciting. The duo with disciplined conveyors can afford every mistake once; the duo with pretty guns and empty lines cannot afford a single revenge.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for codes, raids, defenses, and co-op play.

What is the best first purchase?

Complete a dropper to conveyor to upgrader chain before stacking extra droppers or rushing late weapons.

When should I unlock the next floor?

When the current floor’s production loop is stable and extra same-floor buys feel weak compared to the next tier’s buttons.

Should I spend code cash on weapons?

Only after income and a minimum defense layer exist. Codes snowball hardest in droppers during Double Cash.

How do events affect building?

Park on buttons during Double Cash. Send a rover to Air Drops or KotH only if an anchor can protect the line and vault path.

How do raids fit into factory progress?

Use short raids to fund the next floor or defense layer, then return to production. Do not permanently abandon conveyors for vault greed.
